Why we started.
Buildings got LED lighting, solar panels and electric cars in the car park. Down in the technical room, the boiler kept burning, because nothing standardised could take its place. So we built a modular system instead, one platform, five sizes, designed to replace the boiler without rebuilding the plant room around it.

Engineers first.
Our team brings over 30 years of combined experience in refrigeration and heat pump technology, with extensive expertise in transcritical CO₂ systems. We combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience in installation, commissioning and service to develop reliable heat pumps for commercial and industrial applications.
Ecodesign certified
Heated by Nature.
Aqua runs on CO₂ (R744), a refrigerant with a GWP of 1, non-flammable and free of PFAS and F-gas exposure. It is the world's first high-temperature CO₂ heat pump certified under EcoDesign, validated in an independent lab-to-field test with under 4% deviation on heat output and under 5% on COP. The plant stays legal long after synthetic refrigerants are phased out.
Backed to scale.
Tequs is backed by Eviny, Momentum, Kongsberg Innovation, StartupLab and Hafslund, alongside a 1 MEUR Research Council grant. Our sales pipeline has grown 7.5x in twelve months, with €15M in active deals. The goal is straightforward: take the platform from Norway to Europe and the US, and make burning obsolete as the way the world makes heat.
